The Erasmus+ project meeting was held in Skopje (North Macedonia) to discuss next steps and results.
The partners of the ‘BuildOffsiteEU‘ project met at the headquarters of K&S Skopje (North Macedonia) to present the new Map of competences necessary for some professional profiles to adapt to the requirements of industrialised construction.
With this objective in mind, they have drawn up a Map of “new competences” that certain professionals should update in order to adapt their professional performance to the demands of industrialised construction:
- Electrical installers and solar energy technicians.
- HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) and air conditioning engineers.
- Roofers and roofing masons.
- Bricklayers.
The consortium agreed on the analysis of these four occupational profiles as they include a wide selection of activities and tasks in traditional construction and therefore their competences are representative of those in the sector.
The document, which was presented at the 22nd May meeting in Skopje, reflects the results of more than 100 surveys carried out by the partners with various stakeholders in Spain, Slovenia, Greece, Italy, and North Macedonia to determine which professional skills should be updated to facilitate the transition and meet the needs of industrialised construction.
