The Council of Ministers of the Government of Spain has recently approved a new Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) focused on the industrialised construction of housing. This initiative, set to be developed over the next ten years, includes public investment of up to €1.3 billion.
The main objective of the PERTE is to drive the sector’s transition towards more sustainable, efficient, and innovative models, promoting industrialisation as a key lever to boost productivity and reduce construction times for affordable housing. The proposal also aims to generate a positive impact on the creation of quality employment and territorial cohesion, with a strong emphasis on public-private collaboration.
At the ‘BuildOffsiteEU‘ project, we support the upskilling of professionals and the promotion of industrialisation as a pathway to improving competitiveness and sustainability in the built environment across Europe.
