On 16 June 2023, the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción participated in the event “Profesionals 4.0. the digital revolution of employment” at the Fundación Telefónica space.

During the event, Javier González, Director of Training and Employment at the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, addressed the comparison of traditional and industrialised construction within the framework of the BuildOffSiteEU project. The project aims to develop proposals for training itineraries to bridge the skills gaps between traditional occupations and the “new occupations” emerging of industrialised construction.

The key point highlighted by Javier González focused on the distinction between traditional construction, characterized by a sequential model, and industrialised construction, that adopts a system similar to manufacturing industry, which aims to emulate industrial activity in terms of strategies and procedures.
