Lignum Tech (industrialised construction systems company), in collaboration with the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, has developed a multidisciplinary training action to train women in construction trades.
The training consists of 225 classroom hours with five modules: Interpretation of plans, Installation of plasterboard panels, Laying of floor and wall tiles, Installation of plumbing, drainage, underfloor heating and installation of sanitary ware, and Electrical installation.
The course has included a commitment to hire 40% of the women who successfully complete the course to join the company’s factory in the city of Cuenca.
